"Fantasy: Kings of Spain"

  • The MotoGP season returns to Spain for the Catalan GP this weekend - and so it is time again to consider your options in our exclusive Fantasy game!!

  • Valentino Rossi is the man to beat at present and has a great record at the Circuit de Catalunya - but Casey Stoner can continue his return to form and take a second consecutive victory in Montmelo?

RIDERS Winners in cat

Casey Stoner 2007

2006 Valentino Rossi (abbreviated race)

Valentino Rossi 2005

Valentino Rossi 2004

Loris Capirossi 2003

Valentino Rossi 2002

Valentino Rossi 2001

If you can afford to go Rossi (20m), which has five wins Catalan MotoGP and has won the last three races (see but I am pretty sure). He took pole in the 2007 race here.

Pedrosa is already showing his usual consistency impressive, with five podium results in the first six races. Good record in the lower classes to track - but he used the new engine? (see story on page engines) may be a risk despite finishing on the podium Mugello 2006 champion Nicky

Hayden could also go with the new engine - making it even risky, as a rebound for this race. Waste of money, despite holding the record here Casey Stoner not in contention for the title - unless he goes into a streak of victories sharpish - But secondly the last time indicated that out is back among the big boys Rookie Jorge Lorenzo has dazzled with his speed, although it has been carrying the ankle injury since last GP of China. And crashed in the last race, but somehow thjat not aggravate.

Good track record in lower classes ramp. Said thinks the title se ha ido, but well worth a rebound in the second-lowest price in this game (mark) Andrea Dovizioso is motivated to improve their position in the championship rankings supported by the trust he has with the Barcelona circuit in the last three seasons it has always been on the podium with a win and two third positions.

Team

If you are a believer Rossi - and let's face it is not - and you fancy Lorenzo decent for a walk is not that much of stretch to go to Fiat Yahama. Repsol Honda deserves a point if you are in the Stoner / Hayden camp.

Tyres

Michelin runners hold three of the five top positions in the points classification MotoGP - Pedrosa, Edwards, lorenzo

Manufacturer

Rossi could be on a Yamaha, but I have a sneaky feeling Honda could triumphs. Pedrosa, Dovizioso, De Angelis and Hayden are all capable of podium finishes
