"Hayden has better feeling"

With pneumatic-valve RCV engine

RC212V Repsol Honda rider Nicky Hayden completed his second late in Catalunya testing today, working between rain showers.

The American followed back-to-back tests with the tyres RC212V-valve engine and the valve spring-VN conventional engine. It mounted a promising career simulation using a pneumatic valve engine, with an average 1m high 42s and low 1m 43s, one second faster than he had made on Sunday's Catalan Grand Prix, which used the valve engine of spring.

Hayden proved itself today. Team-mate Dani Pedrosa, winner on Sunday, not today after the ride yesterday highside painful accident that left him with a sore back and shoulders.

"The weather definitely was not cooperative today. A few more showers every hour would only make things wet enough so that we could not get the job done everything we wanted, but that's how it goes over time. However who rode the new engine much of the day, I tried to do is mark, but we had a few problems with him, that was frustrating. He also worked on trying to make the best engine for a long time. I made a career of more than 20 laps and was able to stay very consistent that it was good. We liked having more time with him, but I've seen enough that I like. I have a better feeling with pneumatic valve engine, so we look forward to racing as soon as the kids say it's ready. "

"Nicky was impressed with the pneumatic valve engine this afternoon but we believe that further adjustment of its electronics is required to improve the overall race distance. If we can complete this work before the British Grand Prix, then Nicky wish to use the engine at Donington. Otherwise we hope to use the engine in the Dutch TT next weekend. "
