"Lorenzo and Rossi to collect British challenge"

After a rain affected Mediterranean trip across Italy and Spain, the Fiat Yamaha Team launch a Northern European triple header this weekend, hoping that the British Grand Prix could be the likely supplier for the summer World Championship MotoGP paddock. Despite the dry races in Mugello and Barcelona, mixed conditions during the practice certainly has not helped with the machine start and were a contributing factor to a series of shocks to Jorge Lorenzo, which ultimately led him to lose last race in Catalunya.

Fortunately Lorenzo is able to return for a crucial period of three runs on four weekends in England, Holland and Germany, followed immediately by its first race in the U.S.. The daughter has benefited from a full week of rest since it was ruled out of his home career with concussion, even though they ride at Donington Park across the discomfort of a new skin grafting for the fourth and fifth fingers his right hand. The use of a special silk glove underneath a glove biggest races this weekend and will require treatment after every practice session. This weekend the Majorcan and his team will focus on recovery and restore confidence, rather than results, though Lawrence has been successful in the Leicestershire circuit in the past, having won pole position in the 250cc class in 2006.

His teammate Valentino Rossi is the most successful cyclist ever Grand Prix at Donington, having won there in no fewer than seven occasions in all classes - including his first 500cc victory in 2000. This year the 29-year-old arrives in top form at the top of the World Championships and expecting the usual fanatical level of support from home recently, despite moving from London back to his native Italy. Rossi lived in the capital of English 1999 and last year and builds an army of local fans, but has not had an opportunity to celebrate with them since 2005 - a situation that will aim to remedy on Sunday as he defends a seven series points lead Dani Pedrosa.

Donington Park is within an amphitheater style, with the spectators banked on the grass verges that surround the track. The prevalence of off-camber nature of the circuit is a major factor in the game, with a strong tendency to push the front wheel, making the right, left, right below the curve Shake Crane critical but rewarding section of track . The stop and go nature of the last section, which features three hard braking zones, means the bike also has to be good under braking and makes launching a search for compromise between agility and stability.

Valentino Rossi - A fantastic track

"Undoubtedly, Donington is one of my favourite circuits in the world and I have some fantastic memories of it, including of course my first 500cc victory in 2000, when I had a fantastic battle with Jeremy McWilliams and Kenny Roberts. This is a clue that has everything, is fast and fluid, but also technical, but like most of the people I'm not so interested in the last section! Racing in the UK is also very special to me because for a long time he lived there and , But now I live in Italy again, I still like to think of it as a second home and I hope the fans will give me maximum support, as they always do. I was very disappointed to lose the podium last year due to Donington podium that is something special, so it is with the aim of returning to what this year! "

Jorge Lorenzo - Starting from scratch

"It's been a tough couple of weeks for me and watching the race in Barcelona in my hospital bed was not very fun, so I'm hoping to return to the bike, but I think I have to walk a little more caution this order week! It's like starting again from scratch, so I have to change my approach. What I can say about Donington is that I have got great memories from there - I took the 250cc victory in 2006 and last year I was very well riding in the wet. It's a fast circuit, which is not the last section, and there will be interesting ride in a MotoGP bike for the first time. "

Davide Brivio - A four-way fight

"We have a lot of great memories of Donington Park and is traditionally a good track for Valentino so we are hoping that this weekend. We arrived there on the championship leader, but Pedrosa is close behind us so it will be a close and exciting battle. With regard to the points he was concerned the situation Dani is looking like the most dangerous rival, but at this time Lorenzo and Stoner are still in the fight. Stoner is in fourth place, but only 50 points behind and more than eleven races that is not an impossible gap, so our goal is to maintain the finish on the podium. We also want to improve and when you look at Barcelona you can see that we have to do this at the beginning of the race. On Friday and Saturday we have not found the best possible scenario for the bicycle, which limits our qualifying position, and although the team did a great job overnight so that we suffered in the race. Without however, we met a lot of information to evidence and tried some solutions with qualifyingtyre to be hoped that this can help us become even more competitive at Donington. "

Daniele Romagnoli - There is no pressure

"This weekend we will concentrate on recovering Jorge and not their results. For us the British Grand Prix is Jorge getting back on the bike and get a good feeling for it again. We want to make set-up work as easy as possible for him not to make too many changes and only allowed him to return to the swing of riding. There was never any pressure on George, but it is important to emphasize that we are now and let him get through a couple of weekends without any problem. Donington track is quite physical, especially in the second half, where there are many areas of hard braking, so we will have to wait and see how much power you have in your hand and how much that affects you. Doctor Mir says it's okay to mount but we know it will not be 100%, so our biggest wish is to see him soon. Unfortunately crash is part of this game. Jorge started the season well - more than either - but in any season have to go through bad times too. I am sure that will return even stronger and I can promise all that will happen very soon. "
