The MotoGP circus crosses the English Channel for the British Grand Prix, where Michelin runners will be aiming to give the French tire marks its second consecutive victory and its fourth successful year. As the 2008 MotoGP series nears the midway Michelin has no fewer than five runners in the top of the seven points classification.
Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda RC212V-Michelin) took second place overall, just five points off the lead after his victory totally dominant in Catalunya on June 8. Dazzling novice Jorge Lorenzo (Fiat Yamaha Team YZR-M1-Michelin) remains third in points Catalunya, despite missing due to injury. So is veteran Colin Edwards (Tech 3 Yamaha YZR-M1-Michelin) and novice Andrea Dovizioso (Team Scot Honda RC212V-Michelin Jiro) and James Toseland (Tech 3 Yamaha YZR-M1-Michelin), in fifth, sixth and seventh. Toseland has impressed in the first race of MotoGP career with four top-six finishes thus far, and the Briton will be for a better result ever at Donington, where he has previously enjoyed World Superbike glory.

Donington is a real challenge for pilots, engineers and technicians motorcycle with an asymmetrical design that features some left-handers and two contrasting sections that require different styles of horsemanship and a delicate compromise in machine character and performance tires.
The British GP is the third race in four weekends and there is no rest after the event with riders and teams hotfooting back through the channel for the Dutch TT on Saturday next June 28.
