"MotoGP: GP spies to make debut next week"

AMA Superbike champion Ben Spies is expected to make an early debut in MotoGP next week's British Grand Prix. Spies has been asked to replace injured factory pilot Loris Capirossi at the factory squad alongside Chris Vermeulen.

A broken right hand, suffered last Sunday in the Grand Prix of Catalunya in Barcelona, has ruled Capirossi outside Donington, and possibly the next race, the Dutch TT at Assen.

Spies was scheduled to make his MotoGP debut in the U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca next month, but this program has been brought
forward to cover the injured Capirossi.

The unexpected opportunity Donington Spies will provide an opportunity to demonstrate their capability in Europe as it basa justification of a full-time ride in MotoGP in 2009.

That might not travel with Suzuki have decided not to run a third bike next year. However Spies management and explorers have been the MotoGP paddock and there has been contact with Ducati, Tech3 Yamaha and Kawasaki 2009.

An official announcement on Spies Suzuki ride at Donington is expected shortly.
