"No rest for Fiat Yamaha Team"

After seventh podium in as many races Valentino Rossi at Donington Park on Sunday, the Fiat Yamaha team have their title challenge directly to Assen this week for the second Grand Prix in just six days.

For 78 years, the Dutch TT took place last Saturday in June and, despite the rapid turnover this year tradition was maintained, as the World Championship MotoGP paddock packages races against the clock and around the North Sea from England to Holland.

This is a demanding but enjoyable trip for Rossi, who travels from one of his favorite and most successful circuits to a legendary place where he has celebrated victory on six occasions - including four of the last six races there in the first kind. The Italian reached the ninth round of the season in great shape, with a 11-point lead in the championship over Dani Pedrosa and not having lost the podium since the initial round of the season in Qatar and not finished outside the two first round and three in Portugal.

Rossi novice Fiat Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo has dropped to fourth overall after a period of races, but the child remains in the championship hunt, 58 points off the summit and with conviction and courage to return to his side after confidence-inspiring to travel sixth place at Donington Park, after starting from 17 in the network. An accident planted a few weeks are now a distant memory for the daughter who has returned to his best in Britain and still has ten rounds left to enjoy and entertain before the end of the season.

One of the most technically and physically demanding circuits on the calendar for the MotoGP pilots, has Assen just a straight piece of tarmac in sight. Handling is a major focal point due to the high-speed chicanes and dramatic changes camber - the last, in some places, resembles the profile of public roads that the circuit is basa around - the characteristics that have traditionally favored the agile YZR-M1.

Last year Rossi took a comfortable victory in 1909 second on Casey Stoner in one of the highlights of the season after starting 11, while Lorenzo also has a solid track record, having won the 250cc race during the last two seasons to add to a 125cc victory in 2004.

Valentino Rossi
"I am very pleased that we are going straight to Assen, which is another of my favourite circuits. Donington was good and we have taken important points and expanded our classification, but it is still a bit disappointing not being able to fight at the front and I am pleased with Stoner I only have to wait a few days to try to turn this around! Last year the race at Assen was magic, the best of the year, and I would like to repeat that victory again this year. Of course, this time I prefer to start from the front row in fourth place, although all those who exceed last year was great, great fun! still miss the 'old' Assen, but still is a fantastic track and the atmosphere is very special, in addition Our M1 is usually works very well there, so I'm looking forward to another exciting weekend. Donington once again showed how strong are our rivals, so we can not relax even for a moment and we have to be in best way to Friday morning if we are to achieve our aimof return to the top of the podium. "

Jorge Lorenzo

"Thinking about the race on Sunday is still giving me a lot of pleasure and makes me feel much more confident about riding that I felt this time a week ago! I hope that after the good result in the UK, that bad times of recent weeks are now only a memory and, indeed, I will not think about them at all and only around the rest of the season. I had a lot of fun on Sunday, I was not necessarily expecting, and This has helped me to move on and look forward to the next races. Assen is one of my favorite tracks, maybe my best of all. Last year I won here and I look forward to having another good result this year, although I know who still have to take things carefully and not take too many risks. I'm hoping to ride a MotoGP bike there, I think it will be great fun! "

Davide Brivio

"So now we come halfway championship in Assen, and I think we can be satisfied with our performance so far. We are leading the championship and our motivation is very strong, but there is no time to rest at this time. Our main goal is to be on the podium every round and we did it again at Donington, where he took some important points and expanded our leadership in Pedrosa, but we really want to be fighting for victory and would be trying to compensate for this in Assen. Our motorcycle has traditionally been very good at Assen, both old and new circuits, and we hope that we will be in the best way to begin this week. "

Daniele Romagnoli

"The goal was to get at Donington Jorge feeling back with the bike and it did, setting up some very good laps towards the end of the race, so while there is still no pressure on him to get results I believe we a good chance of success at Assen. Of course he took much more care practice at Donington, putting long runs and avoid taking risks - especially in the first part of the session, when the establishment is not perfect. A large Part of his work this year is to learn, but unfortunately, some lessons are more painful than others! Despite the changes to the track in recent years Assen remains a temple for motorcycle racing and we always expect to compete there. It's a good track for Jorge's style of driving, as they have seen in the past, and is also good for Yamaha so I think we can be very competitive. "
