Although the Human Rights Committee and International Inc. pilots, the agency that represents Nicky Hayden, both say that negotiations are still ongoing, it is generally understood in the MotoGP paddock Andrea Dovizioso who is inclined to replace that of the americas Repsol Honda team.The team of Scott Jiro satellite equipment that currently employs Dovizioso and has an option on his contract for 2009 and Honda calls to compensate them for the grant or otherwise influencing Hayden to accept a "transfer" with some assurances that the Satellite equipment receive strong support from the Human Rights Committee in 2009.
The rumours that Hayden has already signed an agreement with Ducati to enter as a team with Casey Stoner in 2009 have been denied by both Hayden and Ducati, Nicky, but also said,
"Contractually I can not talk about this, but, seeing how the Ducati, a boy would be a fool not to consider moving to that team."
The obvious question is, given the treatment he has received in Hayden Honda, and win the title in 2006, why should believe the promises of any "special treatment" in a satellite team and why would need to consider one second level for a full Honda factory Ducati?
The contrast between the success of Casey Stoner and the inability of both Loris Capirossi and Marco Melandri in 2007 in 2008 to achieve similar results with the 800cc Desmosedici as Hayden could cause to wonder whether the Ducati is a man on a bicycle and that, Somehow, the only World Champion Australia can cope with it.
Evidence of retired veteran Sete Gibernau (35) in Mugello and the consequent strong test results queen (but not the defense) in Europe 1000cc Superstock Champion Niccolo Canepa suggests that cycling can be successfully mounted by other riders Stoner.

It would also mean that two of the three runners to win the World MotoGP title in the series' first seven years (Valentino Rossi, Stoner and Hayden) were travelling in the same factory Ducati team, although the eighth title of MotoGP, now three-way battle between Pedrosa, Rossi, Stoner and Hayden could go to the Spanish team.
Hayden came very close to signing with Ducati towards the end of the 2006 season and, although he has not said so, many in the paddock believe that it should have done.
