"Honda's RC211V - MotoGP’s best bike?"

Honda RC211V racing may not have since late 2006, but the history of Grand Prix winners with more riders than any other MotoGP bike is far from being challenged.

Ten riders won at least a 990cc race at the RC211V between 2002 and 2006. V5 motorcycle engine remains the only satellite with the motorcycle riders who have won a four-stroke MotoGP race.

Valentino Rossi won the 2002 and 2003 World Championships of the bike, the RC211V Nicky Hayden to return to the top of the world in 2006.

However, as shown below, the 800cc RC212V has been far less competitive, with Dani Pedrosa also to stand on the highest step of the podium since 2007, leaving behind Honda and Yamaha Ducati.

Rossi won the 990cc MotoGP title for Yamaha in 2004 and 2005, with Casey Stoner after the opening ceremony, claiming 800cc title for Ducati in 2007. Rossi gave Yamaha its first 800cc crown last season.

Rossi and Max Biaggi remain the only drivers to win races in MotoGP for two different brands of machines.
